2025 FAONL Spotlight: Kevin McEwan

What motivated you to apply for the FAONL designation?
I have been an active member of AONL at the State and National levels for over two decades. Being a Fellow is a way for me to further represent my profession organization.

How has being an FAONL designee impacted your leadership journey and leadership style?
My Fellow induction has brought additional opportunities to represent AONL and demonstrate my commitment to nursing leadership.

What value have you received by achieving your FAONL designation (could be professional growth, personal connections, etc.)?
It is an honor to be apart of the FAONL field of outstanding nursing professionals. This association has furthered my influence to connect and represent nursing at a higher level of engagement.

What advice would you give to someone working towards achieving FAONL status?
Look at the areas within the application and see that you are leading in various opportunities of nursing service. Being an active member of AONL is required but can be a the local level. If you are leading in your organization, community and professional associations then you are eligible and should consider the right time to apply.
