Front-Line Defense: Nurse Leadership Strategies for Strengthening Drug Diversion

Nurses offer a critical front line perspective in preventing drug diversion, but they often face challenges such as fragmented communication and unfamiliar pharmacy processes. In this session, our expert panel will share practical strategies to overcome these obstacles and lead effective prevention programs.

Learning Outcomes:

  1. Implement specific multidisciplinary communication strategies to bridge the gap between nursing and pharmacy workflows, reducing fragmented information and improving controlled substance accountability.
  2. Develop actionable education plans that foster a safety-focused culture, empowering staff to identify diversion risks and adhere to prevention policies within their daily practice.
