Charles Larsen, Operations Regional Lead, Banner Health: Sr. Director of transfer services Central Logic

Charles Larsen, RN, MSN-L, MBA, CNML, NE-BC, Clinical Operations Regional Lead and former RN Senior Director of Banner Health Transfer Services and RN Program Director of the Arizona Surge Line with the Arizona Department of Health Services. Charley has been in the healthcare industry since 2007 and is a 2019 graduate of the AONL Nurse Director Fellowship. In 2020, Charley was sought out by the Arizona Department of Health Services to lead the stand-up of the Arizona Surge Line in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic. The Arizona Surge Line is a first of its kind collaboration between public and private healthcare in which all major health systems in the state came together to ensure effective load balancing and patient health during the pandemic. In addition to the Surge Line, Charley led the Banner Health Transfer Services division in which more than 75,000 patient transfers are processed annually primarily for a higher level of care or for service not provided. Charley received his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University, Masters in Nursing leadership and Masters of Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and is currently attending American Sentinel University for his Doctorate in Nursing with an emphasis on executive leadership.

Tim Wilcox, Nurse Administrator, Barre, Vt

Dr. Tim Wilcox is a Nurse Administrator working with State of Vermont as the clinical lead for the Long-Term Care COVID-19 Support Team and Choices for Care Program.

Dr. Wilcox has worked with the State of Vermont’s COVID-19 support team to provide clinical oversight of supportive programs for long-term care facilities in the state focusing on distribution of PPE supplies, development, and implementation of a state clinical staffing pool to assist long-term care facilities affected by COVID-19 outbreaks resulting in staff having to quarantine. Dr. Wilcox has supported the state through the COVID-19 pandemic and been a part of the states Emergency Operations Center since March of 2020. Dr. Wilcox has also has worked with the state’s nursing programs to find alternate solutions for clinical educational through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. Wilcox was awarded State of Vermont Commissioner’s Pinnacle Award for services to the state during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Dr. Wilcox has a Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Walden University, a Master’s in Nursing and Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Phoenix.
