AHRQ opens enrollment in surgical recovery program

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) announced that it has begun enrolling hospitals in its Safety Program for Improving Surgical Care and Recovery. The program supports hospitals as they implement evidence-based practices to improve outcomes and prevent complications among patients who undergo gynecologic, colorectal or hip fracture/joint replacement surgeries. AHRQ will hold a webinar on June 27 at 4-5 p.m. ET for interested applicants. The 12-month program will begin Sept. 1. (Healthcare Purchasing News story, 6/19/19)
