Foundation supports nursing school ceremonies

The Arnold P. Gold Foundation is expanding its support for white coat ceremonies with a $50,000 grant that will bring the event to another 50 nursing schools. This marks the sixth year the foundation has partnered with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) to support dissemination of this rite of passage, which is designed to instill a commitment to compassionate care among future RNs. The ceremony is currently in place at 310 nursing schools in 49 states.
