Hospitals work to stem onslaught of robocalls

Hospitals and other medical facilities around the country report that the volume of robocalls they receive has increased in recent months, consuming precious staff time and hampering the institutions’ ability to keep phone lines open for legitimate and potentially urgent calls. Hospitals are reaching out to their telecom providers, Congress and the Federal Communications Commission in search of solutions to these problems. (Washington Post story, 6/17/19)
