The AONL Leadership Catalyst Scholars Program is a competitive, national practicum opportunity for graduate nursing students in leadership-focused programs to engage directly in the initiatives shaping the future of healthcare.
Catalyst Scholars work alongside national nurse leaders to contribute to real AONL priorities—from workforce strategy and leadership development to innovation, analytics, and care model transformation.
Participants gain hands-on experience while earning practicum hours, developing capabilities in:
- Systems and complexity thinking
- Workforce and retention strategy
- Financial and operational decision-making
- Evidence translation and implementation
- Leadership in dynamic, evolving environments
At the same time, Scholars serve as catalysts—accelerating the work that will define the next era of nursing leadership.
