AHA provides resources for hospitals to reduce postpartum hemorrhage

The American Hospital Association has published a webpage that highlights facts, causes, effects and solutions hospitals can use to reduce the risk and severity of postpartum hemorrhage. Resources include how to prepare for, train, measure and support the workforce and patients receiving maternal care. Although preventable and treatable, postpartum hemorrhage — or excessive bleeding following childbirth — is the leading cause of maternal morbidity and mortality worldwide.
