AHA to host webinar on interprofessional maternity care

The American Hospital Association will host a webinar on empowering interprofessional maternal care teams on March 5 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. ET. Speakers will discuss how hospitals can leverage the unique skills and expertise of multiple health care professionals, including doulas, nurse midwives and community health workers to provide high-quality, personalized maternal care and improve outcomes. They also will explain how interdisciplinary maternal care teams can leverage the TeamBirth model to work together efficiently and improve outcomes. Participants should register in advance. The webinar is part of the AHA’s Better Health for Mothers and Babies webinar series, which engages four principles to improve maternal health.
