AONL Foundation explores hospital-at-home, virtual nursing programs

An article authored by AONL Foundation for Nursing Leadership Research and Education Director Dani Ward, MBA, reports on the conditions under which hospital-at-home care and virtual nursing programs are likely to succeed. The findings, published in the October issue of the Journal of Nursing Administration, resulted from the discussions of health care and industry leaders participating in two think tanks hosted by the AONL Foundation to delve deeply into hospital-at-home care and virtual nursing programs. The meetings spotlighted hospital-at-home and virtual nursing programs at Atrium Health, now part of Charlotte, N.C.-based Advocate Health. The AONL Foundation is developing white papers on hospital-at-home and virtual nursing programs based on the discussions.
