AONL annual report highlights progress in strategic plan implementation
The first AONL Annual Report, which was released at the AONL 2026 annual conference, discusses how AONL advanced significant work across all four strategic priorities in 2025 ─ strengthening the workforce, expanding advocacy influence, accelerating innovation and leadership development, and reinforcing best-in-class operations. Among its accomplishments, the organization advanced sustainable workforce solutions through the release of the AONL Workforce Compendium 2.0 and its national Insights Study. AONL also increased congressional office contacts with members, with its Advocacy Day attendance up 17% over 2024. The report details AONL committee work and explains how the organization strengthened governance structures and brought more transparency to member-led groups, offering members more leadership opportunities and a stronger foundation for building the community nurse leaders need.
