AONL supports provisions in Build Back Better Act

As part of its advocacy work to improve maternal health, AONL recently signed a letter to Congressional leaders written by the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). The letter expresses support and appreciation for the maternal health provisions included in the Committee on Energy and Commerce version of the Build Back Better Act. The Nursing Community Coalition also commended the House committee last week “for putting forward and advancing nursing priorities that address public health, as well as investing billions in pandemic preparedness initiatives.” AONL is one of 63 national nursing organizations belonging to the coalition, which is also continuing to advocate for passage of the U.S Cadet Nurse Corps Service Recognition Act (H.R. 2568).
