AONL to host webinar on model to reduce healthcare workplace violence

AONL and the American Hospital Association Learning Community will host a webinar on a behavioral healthcare model to reduce workplace violence on May 6 at 1:00 p.m. ET. AONL members from Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium and Advocate Health will discuss how they employed the standardized care and safety model to improve risk identification, assessment, documentation, and leader oversight across behavioral health inpatient units. Results include fewer workplace violence incidents, decreased restraint use and a growing strategy for scaling the model. Nurse leader participants will learn how the model strengthened staff confidence in managing aggression as well as practical insights to improve safety, reliability and staff experience in behavioral health settings.
