Academy names five 2020 Living Legends

The American Academy of Nursing named five nurse leaders as Living Legends, the highest honor the academy awards. The nurse leaders are recognized for contributions affecting the direction of the profession and the well-being of individuals across the globe. “This year we have experienced an outpouring of public support for nurses due to the pandemic. It is vital that we recognize the profession’s leaders,” said Academy President Eileen Sullivan-Marx, PhD, RN. Linda Harman Aiken, PhD, RN, Bobbie Berkowitz, PhD, RN, Kathleen Buckwalter, PhD, RN, Beverly Malone, PhD, RN and Marilyn Rantz, PhD, RN, will be honored virtually at the Transforming Health, Driving Policy conference Oct. 29–31.
