Global Gerontechnology Center for Nursing Science to launch
To improve care for older adults who wish to age in place, nursing leaders are forming a Global Gerontechnology Center for Nursing Science. The center seeks to facilitate a nurse-led movement in gerontechnology research, application and optimizing care and living for all older adults. It invites nurses and their interdisciplinary collaborators to form partnerships to advance aging-in-place possibilities and use of gerontechnologies globally. It seeks to bridge gaps between research and practice to facilitate improved integration of gerontechnologies in homes and community-based settings. The center wants to be a leading voice in advancing equity and reducing ageism and stigmatism, as well as influencing policies that enable older adults to age in the place of their choosing.
