HRSA report links housing and health inequities

In its HRSA 2019-2020 Health Equity Report: Special Feature on Housing and Health Inequalities, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) reported substantial national progress for all Americans—despite the persistence of health inequities—on vital indicators such as life expectancy, cardiovascular disease and diabetes. Other highlights of the report include a decline in infant mortality, an increase in the percentage of HIV/AIDS patients with viral suppression and homeless patients were significantly more likely to report serious psychological distress than community health center or public housing primary care center patients.
