Jonas Nursing to expand financial support to students assuming faculty roles
Jonas Nursing is expanding its Jonas Scholars program to provide additional financial support to students who assume faculty roles after graduation. Jonas invites nursing schools to apply for support for doctoral students. Eighty doctoral nursing students will each receive $12,000 over two years, matched by their university, along with an additional $6,000 award for serving in a faculty role for at least one year after graduation. The program also seeks mentors to provide guidance and professional support to small groups of Jonas Scholars. Applications for the Jonas Scholars Program and Mentors Program will be accepted through June 26. The organization will offer a webinar on June 1 at 12:00 p.m. ET to answer questions about the program application. Participants should register in advance. (AACN news release, 5/21/26)
