Many nursing schools maintain high NCLEX pass rates through Next Gen transition
Nearly 265 nursing programs achieved first time National Council Licensure Exam pass rates at 90% or higher in 2023, 2024 and 2025, according to a Nurse.org analysis. The three-year period incorporates the transition to the next generation NCLEX test in 2023, and the decline in first-time U.S. educated RN pass rates from 91.2% in 2024 to 86.7% in 2025. Grand Rapids Community College and Texas State University passed every candidate all three years. The list includes community colleges, technical colleges, private nursing schools and public nursing schools. (Nurse.org article, 8/24/26)
