Marshall discusses AONL 2025 Insight Study implications
In an AONL column published in the July/August issue of the Journal of Nursing Administration, David Marshall, DNP, RN, senior vice president and CNE at Cedars-Sinai, Los Angeles, discusses findings from the AONL 2025 Insight Study. He notes the findings serve as a call to action to develop innovative solutions to ensure nursing leadership thrives and individuals receive high-quality care. He urges nursing leaders to foster safer work environments, enhance psychological safety, to leverage technology effectively and support nurse managers. While health systems have made significant progress in fostering emotional health in nurse leaders, Marshall says workplace violence and staffing shortages remain critical concerns. He offers actionable strategies to address these concerns.
