NAM to host webinar on measles outbreak

The National Academy of Medicine will host a webinar on the measles outbreak on May 27 from 4:00-5:30 ET. The U.S. is experiencing its highest rate of measles in decades, with more than 1,000 cases reported as of May 12 across 31 states, with three deaths. Participants will learn how measles spreads and how it can be contained, as well as symptoms and how practitioners diagnose and treat measles. They also will learn how to share accurate information about the virus and challenges stemming from vaccine hesitancy and declining immunizations rates.
