NCC welcomes NINR Director Aklin

AONL and the other 64 members of the Nursing Community Coalition welcomed Courtney Aklin, PhD, as director of the National Institute of Nursing. The NCC said it looks forward to working with her to advance and elevate nursing research and nurse scientists. The NCC also offered to meet with Aklin to share its collective priorities. Aklin, a licensed clinical psychologist, was named NINR director in July. Previously, she served as NINR acting director and acting scientific director. (Nursing Community Coalition letter, 9/9/26)
