NCLEX fee to increase Feb. 1, 2027
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing will raise the National Council Licensure Examination fee to $350 in the U.S. and Australia and $570 in Canada, effective Feb. 1, 2027. The increased fee is due to inflation and rising costs associated with exams, data protection and cybersecurity, according to NCSBN. Individuals who complete their registration before Feb. 1, 2027 can pay the current $200 fee. International scheduling fees and change fees will remain the same, and the Rex-PN examination fee is unaffected. Additional information, including NCLEX registration and fee information, is available on nclex.com. (National Council of State Boards of Nursing news release, 8/21/26)
