NCSBN developing online NCLEX exam

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing is exploring an online National Council Licensure Examination. The organization says offering the test online would make it less dependent on physical locations that could be disrupted by natural disasters, pandemics or other crises. It also would make the test more accessible to candidates who do not live near testing centers. The NCSBN is developing technology to ensure identity verification and prevent students from receiving assistance during the exam. The organization has not set a launch date for the online test.
