Podcast explains how nurses can prepare to serve on boards

An AONL podcast discusses how the Nurses on Boards Coalition prepares and supports nurses who want to serve or are serving on boards. The podcast features AONL members Cole Edmonson, DNP, RN, CEO of the Nurses on Boards Coalition, and Pam Rudisill, DNP, RN, vice president of nursing excellence at ECU Health in North Carolina and board chair emeritus for the NOBC. They discuss board competencies, the importance of nurse representation and practical tips for navigating board service. In 2025, the Nurses on Boards Coalition helped 35 organizations find qualified nurses to serve on their boards. In the last three years, the organization has assisted nearly 300 nurses in a board placement.
