Apply by 5 p.m. ET today to attend a June 16 half-day training on how to become an expert witness on human trafficking. HEAL (Health, Education, Advocacy, Linkage) Trafficking and the Human Trafficking Legal Center will supply the training. Experts do not need a PhD or MD and can testify based on a variety of qualifications, including lived experience. The current bench of human trafficking expert witnesses is small, with room for many more advocates to join the community, the organizations said. The American Hospital Association has numerous human trafficking resources available on its website.
