Tri-Council urges nurses to vote in midterm elections
The Tri-Council for Nursing encourages all nurses to vote in the upcoming midterm elections on Nov. 3. Elected officials’ decisions shape the health of communities, making it vital for nurses to vote to affect care at the local, state and federal levels. The Tri-Council urges nurses to evaluate candidates and ballot measures, including issues that may affect their communities. Nurses can check Vote.gov to learn more about local and state voting rules, polling places, mail-in voting options or absentee ballots. They can research candidates and issues on their ballot at Ballotpedia.org. The Tri-Council is an alliance of AONL, the American Association of Colleges of Nursing, the American Nurses Association, the National Council of State Boards of Nursing and the National League for Nursing.
