Zangerle discusses purpose, leadership in nursing

In a podcast from Ireland’s National Clinical Leadership Centre for Nursing and Midwifery, AONL CEO Claire Zangerle, DNP, RN, discusses the importance of authenticity and vulnerability, as well as why nurses should not just have a seat at the table but should set the table. Zangerle, who also serves as American Hospital Association senior vice president and CNE, said nursing leaders should provide leadership opportunities for others. In addition, she addressed bullying and incivility in health care and how to find purpose and balance in demanding roles.
