CNO urges rural hospitals to create structures encompassing acute and community care

Rural hospital CNOs should ensure their nurses are able to provide community care in addition to acute care, according to Bingham Healthcare CNO Holly Davis, MBA, RN, an AONL member. The CNO of the Blackfoot, Idaho-based health system says community organizations and hospitals should coordinate to provide the best care possible, and CNOs should understand what health initiatives their community members value most. Davis has prioritized the provision of value-based care and population health services. (HealthLeaders Media article, 6/8/26)
