Kerfoot grantees announced

The DAISY Foundation announced three recipients of the Karlene Kerfoot Nursing Leadership in Technology Education grants. Sponsored by AONL, the DAISY Foundation and symplr, the grants are awarded to AONL members who demonstrate a strong background in successfully implementing technology or innovation strategies and who articulate a clear vision for the future impact of their work on patient care. The 2026 recipients are Marcia Cooke, DNP, RN, associate professor, Northern Illinois University School of Nursing; Brian Johnson, BSN, RN, emergency department clinical manager, NorthBay Medical Center, Fairfield, Calif.; and Kelly Weary, MS, RN, RN program manager, SSM Health, St. Louis. The grant honors the memory of AONL member Karlene Kerfoot, PhD, RN, who served as CNO at symplr.
