NLN names June 14 Nurse Scientist Day
The National League for Nursing has declared June 14 as Nurse Scientist Day, in recognition of the anniversary of the establishment of the National Institute of Nursing Research. This week, the NLN hosted a free webinar exploring the contributions of nurse scientists and purpose of Nurse Scientist Day. AONL and the AONL Foundation recognize all nurse scientists who are members, and especially those who serve on their boards. Martha Grubaugh, PhD, RN, research nurse scientist at UCHealth, Aurora, Colo., is an appointed member of the AONL Board. M. Lindell Joseph, PhD, RN, clinical professor at University of Iowa in Iowa City, serves on the board of the AONL Foundation. “AONL thanks these board members for their valuable contributions and appreciates the expertise they lend in representing academia and nurse scientists,” said Claire Zangerle, DNP, RN, CEO of AONL.
