Webinar to show how hospitals can use data to improve health outcomes, lower costs

The American Hospital Association will host a webinar Nov. 12 from 1:00-2:00 CT exploring its Economic Impact of Disparities in Health Outcomes Resource Guide. The resource helps leaders build a business case for addressing health disparities by demonstrating their economic impact on communities and using data to guide targeted improvement efforts. Joy Rhoden, AHA senior vice president and executive director of the division of health outcomes and care transformation, will highlight strategies to track progress, strengthen organizational performance and sustain improvements. Leaders from Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health will describe one example of how implementing an at-home colorectal testing program in rural and Tribal communities increased screening and early detection of colorectal cancer, expanded access to preventative care and generated cost savings.
