Workforce Committee Learning Community Call for Speakers
Focus Area: Adult & Pediatric Behavioral Health Care Models
AONL's Learning Community invites nurse leaders, interprofessional partners, and health system innovators to submit proposals for upcoming Learning Community sessions focused on adult and/or pediatric behavioral health care models.
We are seeking practical, experience-based presentations that examine the design/redesign, testing, and implementation of care models in acute or ambulatory settings. Submissions are welcome from organizations where the model demonstrated success or where outcomes fell short. AONL encourages learning from what did not work, based on outcome measure review.
Contact Joni Watson with questions.
This survey expires Monday, Feb. 23, 2026.
Workforce Models of Care Coalition: Leader Interview Participation Interest
Have you participated in care model (re)design assessment, planning, implementation, or evaluation? We want to learn from you.
The AONL Workforce Committee Models of Care Coalition is conducting leader interviews to answer the following PICO question: In nurse-led care delivery across healthcare settings (P), how does the development and implementation of contemporary models of care (I) compare to traditional models of care (C) and impact outcomes aligned with the Quintuple Aim: patient experience, population health, cost of care, clinician experience/well-being, and health disparities (O)?
A member of the Models of Care Coalition will conduct the interview by mid-Spring 2026. Interview participants will receive all questions in advance, and the interviews will be recorded solely for data collection and analysis. The Models of Care Coalition is actively seeking broad leader involvement in the interviews.
If you would like to be considered for an interview in this national work, please provide your information. Contact Joni Watson with questions.
This survey expires Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026.
Psychological Well-Being of United States Registered Nurses: A Comparative Analysis
You are invited to take part in a voluntary research study about the psychological well-being of full-time Registered Nurses (RNs) practicing in the United States. The purpose of this study is to better understand whether nurses who provide unpaid caregiving outside of work, such as caring for children with special needs, older adults, or other family members, experience differences in psychological well-being and sense of purpose in life compared to nurses who do not have caregiving responsibilities.
We want to learn how caregiving responsibilities outside of work may relate to nurses' overall psychological well-being and purpose in life, as measured using a standardized well-being questionnaire.
Contact Rebecca Patton or Lisa Welsh with any questions.
This survey expires Monday, May 11, 2026.
Association between nurse managers
Researchers at Case Western Reserve University would like you to take part in a voluntary research study about nurse manager burnout and empathy that may contribute to nurse manager turnover. Healthcare organizations, nurse managers, patients and staff are affected by the loss of experienced nurse managers. Healthcare organizations can help provide overall support to improve nurse managers and empathy and lower the incidence of burnout.
Please contact Dianne Pearce with any questions.
This survey expires Friday, May 15, 2026.
Executive Nurse Leadership, Transparent Communication
You are invited to participate in an important online survey that will explore whether transparent communication, both verbal and nonverbal, from executive nurse leaders influences nurse managers' intention to remain in their current roles. For the purpose of this study, a nurse executive would be the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or the highest nurse executive in your organization.
Contact Rebecca Patton at or Yvonne Moon with any questions.
This survey expires Friday, May 15, 2026.
Please reach out to Amy Trueblood to have your study featured.
