FAONL Spotlight: Nancy May
Dr. May has held several leadership roles prior to her recent retirement, the last being Chief Nurse Executive at University of Michigan Health. Early in her career, she became involved with American Academy of Ambulatory Nursing (AAACN), where she served on the Board of Directors and was later president, driving key initiatives on Scope and Standards, RN Position Paper, Care Coordination and Transition Management, and Nurse Sensitive Indicator work for the association. She has served on the AONL Board, as a Magnet Commissioner, and is recognized as a Fellow in American Academy of Nursing (AAN) and AONL. She remains active with ANA, AAACN, and AONL to advocate and support nursing and leadership through key initiatives.
