How did you get involved with AONL and the AONL Foundation?
The Baxter Medical Affairs team invested in sending one of our Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to attend the 2024 AONL Annual Meeting in New Orleans. In preparing to attend this conference, we learned about the many meaningful ways AONL is supporting and providing needed resources to their members, one of these being the valuable “think tank” programs that are conducted every year. While at the conference, our MSL learned about additional ways to get involved not only with AONL, but with the AONL Foundation as a corporate sponsor. We see this sponsorship as a great opportunity to learn from nursing leaders across all areas of practice.
What would you like AONL Foundation donors and AONL members to know about you?
Baxter Medical Affairs actively collaborates with the healthcare community to tackle unmet medical needs through innovation, compelling evidence generation, and effective dissemination of scientific information. Baxter is committed to continuously innovating in healthcare technology but strives to do so meaningfully and with patient safety top of mind. To innovate effectively, we want to hear from clinicians in practice. The voice of nursing and nursing leadership is one we constantly seek out to better understand how we can potentially help enhance safety measures, alleviate documentation burden, and overcome workflow challenges. Participating with the AONL Foundation and nursing leaders will allow us to ensure that we appropriately and effectively focus on innovations that are purposeful and designed to help with pain points faced by nurses today.
