AHA shares Patient Safety Awareness Week resources

The American Hospital Association commemorated Patient Safety Awareness Week March 8-14. The association shared resources, including podcasts, videos and reports showing how AHA members are advancing patient safety through innovative programs and technologies. This year’s theme stresses the importance of teamwork in building a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Hospitals are focusing on fostering a culture of safety at the leadership level, addressing disparities in health outcomes, enhancing workforce safety and integrating innovation into best practices. As part of the AHA Patient Safety initiative, the association is making patient safety case studies available throughout 2026.
