Nurse Director Fellowship

The AONL Nurse Director Fellowship is the first of its kind program to target the unique leadership development needs of the individual who is accountable for the planning, directing and coordinating the operations of multiple units/departments or service lines in support of the strategic direction of nursing and the organization. The fellowship incorporates the AONL Nurse Executive Competencies.

What to Expect

The Nurse Director Fellowship is a year-long professional development program designed to provide an in-depth environment of learning. Participants strengthen their current skills, acquire new competencies and continue life-long learning needed for the next generation of successful nurse executives.

Who should apply?

Fellowship participants come from various practice settings that provide care across the care continuum. Applicants should have a minimum of one year experience at the director level. Job title is not the determining factor, but rather the role and responsibilities of the applicant’s position as detailed in a current job description.

Requirements & Tuition
Participants must invest the time and energy needed to complete all components of the fellowship program. Attendance at all in person sessions is mandatory. The program fee includes all course materials, onsite meeting fees and registration fees for the AONE Annual Meeting, AHA Health Forum Summit, and AONL Advocacy Day. The fellow is responsible for all additional expenses including travel, accommodations and meals not provided during the meeting sessions.
