AHRQ to host webinar on best practices for safer health systems

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality will host a webinar Sept. 22 from noon to 1:00 p.m. ET on the safety best practices of high-performing health care systems related to safety culture, leadership and governance. Leaders from three high-performing health systems ─ St. Luke’s University Health Network in Bethlehem, Pa., Houston Methodist in Texas, and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. ─ will discuss how leadership accountability, board engagement and data-driven practices led to measurable improvements in safety performance at their organizations. They will explain lessons learned and practical strategies leaders can apply at their own organizations. Participants should register in advance. A practical best practices guide developed by AHRQ will be available on its website soon.
