ASPR releases aide for COVID-19 mAbs infusion sites

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) released the COVID-19 monoclonal antibody therapeutics calculator for infusion sites (mAbs calculator). The eight-question tool can help hospitals and health care facilities estimate the operational capacity of infusion sites, maximize their resources, make cost-effective decisions, reduce patient wait times and decrease disease transmission risks within their facilities. Administration of COVID-19 mAb therapeutics can help reduce the strain on hospital systems by decreasing the need for hospitalization of high-risk COVID-19 patients with mild to moderate symptoms. ASPR, which resides within Health and Human Services (HHS), partnered with the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory to develop the mAbs Calculator.
