Joint Commission launches resource library

The Joint Commission launched the SAFEST Resource Library. The library, which serves as a repository of innovative and effective practices during accreditation surveys, is available to all accredited Joint Commission and Joint Commission International healthcare organizations. The library includes more than 150 performance strength summaries spanning topics such as infection prevention and control, medication management, physical environment and the organization’s National Performance Goals and National Patient Safety Goals. The Joint Commission expects the library to contain more than 250 examples by year-end. Healthcare organizations can adapt and apply the actionable resources. The Joint Commission hopes healthcare organizations will use the library to learn from each other and accelerate improvement efforts. (Joint Commission news release, 10/21/26)
