Mayo to license workforce forecasting platform to other health systems

Hospital leaders who want to implement workforce-forecasting technology can license Mayo Clinic’s internally developed platforms through Trusted Health, a healthcare-workforce technology company headquartered in San Francisco. The Rochester, Minn.-based system’s CareCast technology uses historical staffing information, patient volume trends and operational data to forecast future workforce demand. Artificial intelligence agents use CareCast’s forecasts to build schedules, surface coverage gaps and fill open shifts. The AI agents compare each plan to actual outcomes and feed gaps back into the forecast to improve accuracy with every scheduling cycle. This technology seeks to anticipate workforce needs earlier to reduce friction for staff and leaders, create transparency and flexibility, as well as better align workforce resources with patient needs.
