NCC FY 2027 funding request receives support from 39 senators

Thirty-nine Senators signed a Senate “dear colleague” an April 21 letter addressed to leaders on the Senate subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Appropriations Committee requesting $610 million for Title VIII Nursing Workforce Development Programs in fiscal year 2027. The letter aligns with the Nursing Community Coalition request to the House and Senate Appropriations Subcommittees on Labor, HHS, Education and Related Agencies and a similarly worded House letter signed by a record 102 representatives. The amount is significantly higher than the administration’s FY 2027 budget proposal.
