NCC Urges Congress to Pass Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act

AONL and the other 64 members of the Nursing Community Coalition urged Senate and House committee leaders to pass the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act of 2025 (S. 1874/H.R. 3593) as part of any health bill this Congress. In a letter to the leadership of the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee and the House Energy and Commerce Committee, the NCC says the bipartisan, bicameral bill is consistent with fiscal year 2026 funding levels and contains vital resources to support the current and future U.S. nursing workforce. The NCC says the Title VIII nursing workforce programs support all levels of nursing education, institutions educating future nurses, and recruiting and retaining nurses. The programs also help ensure the U.S. meets the demand for nursing care. (NCC letter, 2/12/26)
