NCC thanks legislators for introducing nursing workforce centers bill

AONL and 41 other members of the Nursing Community Coalition thanked Sen. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del., and Rep. Young Kim, R-Calif., for introducing the National Nursing Workforce Center Act of 2025 (H.R. 4407/S. 1482). The legislation would support efforts to grow or start new nursing workforce centers, which would enable the nursing field to gather additional data on nursing workforce and healthcare needs across the nation. The Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions committee advanced the bill by voice vote after Sen. Rochester offered similar language as an amendment as part of the mark-up of the Title VIII Nursing Workforce Reauthorization Act (S. 1874). The amendment would establish a three-year pilot program to expand and establish state nursing workforce centers. (NCC letter, 7/21/26)
