NCC urges Congress to make pandemic waivers permanent

In a letter to Congressional leaders, the Nursing Community Coalition (NCC) asked Congress to make permanent many of the waivers put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic. These waivers removed barriers to delivering nursing care by allowing advanced practice registered nurses to practice to the full extent allowed by their education and licensure, or by authorizing remote practice via telehealth. “The models of care implemented during these unprecedented times helps inform and improve health care throughout the nation,” the letter stated. AONL is one of 63 national nursing organizations that make up the NCC. (NCC letter, 12/20/21)
