NIH workshop to feature ways to improve maternal care

The National Institutes of Health will hold a free hybrid workshop May 8-9 from 9:00-6:00 p.m. ET on innovative approaches to improve maternal health. The event will bring together technology developers, medical device experts, small business innovators, implementation scientists, maternal mortality and morbidity researchers, and academic, industry and community-based partners. The goal is to connect researchers with small businesses developing approaches to improve maternal mortality and morbidity and its associated health disparities. Panelists will focus on the best ways to incorporate maternal health technology into the community; how to address maternal health disparities; and how to improve access to diagnostic and treatment tools. NIH will videocast the workshop from its Bethesda, Md. campus. Participants must register in advance.
