Nursing and AI Innovation Consortium releases proceedings from first meeting

The Nursing and Artificial Intelligence Innovation Consortium released the proceedings from its launch summit in September 2025 at Florida State University College of Nursing in Tallahassee. The summit brought together more than 50 national leaders in nursing practice, education, innovation, entrepreneurship and research to establish priorities to ensure AI enhances rather than compromises patient care. Participants determined the top priority is workforce development, calling for the establishment of role-based AI skills and faculty development. The second priority is for governance structures to coordinate, evaluate, procure and implement AI. The third priority is education and curriculum integration starting with pre-licensure preparation and progressing to continuing professional development. AONL is an advisory member of the consortium.
