Tool helps hospitals to estimate emergency supplies

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released a tool to help hospital emergency planners and supply chain staff estimate their supply needs for mass casualty incidents and infectious disease emergencies. Based on hospital characteristics, the tool recommends average par levels for specific supplies that acute care hospitals may need to respond to a disaster in their community until they are re-supplied. For more information about the tool, register to attend HHS’ Aug. 15 webinar from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ET.
