AHA, others urge appropriators to fund Children’s Hospitals GME program for FY 2027

The AHA and other national health care groups sent a letter to members of the House and Senate appropriations committees, urging them to provide $1.02 billion in fiscal year 2027 funding to support the Children’s Hospitals Graduate Medical Education program. The program allows children’s hospitals to provide training for pediatricians and pediatric specialists, including child and adolescent psychiatrists, surgeons, cardiologists, dentists, podiatrists and others.
