Begley receives ONL NJ Lifetime Achievement Award

The Organization of Nurse Leaders, New Jersey last week presented AONL CEO Robyn Begley, DNP, RN, with its Lifetime Achievement Award. Begley, who also serves as the American Hospital Association’s senior vice president and CNO, received the award for her many leadership roles and contributions to nursing. In presenting the award, ONL NJ President-elect Mary Jo Loughlin, DNP, RN, noted Begley’s tenure as vice president of nursing and CNO of AtlantiCare in Atlantic City, N.J. Begley oversaw AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s Magnet designation achievement four times, but Loughlin noted Begley gave her “stellar” team all the credit. Robyn served on the ONL NJ Board of Directors and as president of the organization in 2006-2007. Loughlin also noted Begley’s best advice for aspiring leaders: “Don’t be afraid to take a few risks! Perfection is the enemy of good. Just get started. Don’t get paralyzed in the planning process.”
