HHS forms advisory committee on long COVID-19

The Department of Health and Human Services seeks nominations to serve on its advisory committee on long COVID-19. Composed of up to 20 members, the committee will bring outside perspectives to make research and innovation recommendations in the government’s response to the longer-term impacts of COVID and associated conditions, with a focus on health equity. HHS seeks people who have lived experience with long COVID and the multidisciplinary expertise of those supporting and caring for people with the condition, as well as specific clinical, medical, public health, behavioral health, human services, employment, data science and research expertise. The committee’s membership will reflect individuals from diverse backgrounds and organizations, including underserved populations. Nominations must be submitted to Allison O’Donnell by 11:59 ET on Jan. 16, 2024. (HHS news release, 11/16/23)
